Chad Davis has spent the last twenty years working in a variety of glass manufacturing and artistic endeavors, but in 2017, he decided to start Catskill Glassworks and focus on his own art and designs exclusively. His work is steeped in classic silhouettes and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the material. However, his subtle use of color and asymmetry make the pieces modern and unique, gentle in their boldness and confidence.
Chad is a native of the Hudson Valley and grew up in Margaret Lewis Norrie State Park in Staatsburg. He lives and works in East Durham with his wife Lucie and his many beloved Icelandic chickens.
