Nick Kekic designs his work to be decorative with clean, strong lines in form and color. He finds glass most beautiful when worked in such a way that somehow captures and eventually expresses its fluidity as a material while maximizing its unique relationship with color and light. Most of nick’s work is functional as he generally feels most satisfied making things that are both beautiful and useful.

Nick and his wife, Tamasin, built Tsuga Studios in 2000 sited on the first major canal in America in Bellows Falls, Vermont. This is where Kekic was able to use hydroelectric power; invest in an electric glass furnace; and build a new studio in a renovated industrial space. He now uses renewable energy from the Connecticut River to melt and cool his glasswork, shrinking his carbon footprint and reducing energy costs while continuing to make refined beautiful art glass from raw earth materials.

Born in Bosnia and raised in Croatia, Mia studied at the School for Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb, before moving to the United States. Mia began her professional career in New York City, with corporate design roles at Liz Claiborne, Henrii Bendel and BCBGeneration. Their soft feel and gently flowing shapes evoke a sense of connection with plant life, flowers, and ocean creatures.

This exquisite scarf, which is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, summons memories of ocean waves and sea creatures with tentacles reaching out for nourishment. The rich colors in the center and small bubbles at the ends were inspired by the floating sea and created using traditional Japanese dyeing techniques, and the bubbles are permanently pressed into the fabric. Oxum Foundation Inc. is a new and innovative, volunteer-based not-for-profit founded by Niovi Forbes. Forbes' mission is to help young daughters and mothers who are survivors of trafficking and domestic abuse, through education and job creation.

Established in 2021, the organization promotes economic empowerment among underserved women by contributing to their long-term education and career goals. This is accomplished alongside Oxum NYC—a for-profit brand that designs, manufactures, and sells home décor products to retailers and direct to consumers. In addition, Oxum NYC employs female survivors and pays competitive wages for their time and effort.
