Oblik means “shape” in Croatian and forming shapes has been the underlying theme in Hebibs creations. She works with the desire to create the most unique, sculptural, alluring, elegant and most powerful objects in jewelry form. “Oblik Atelier” jewelry marries traditional metalsmithing to timeless designs via fold forming, fabricating, and forging techniques. Each piece is hand sculpted to conform to the body and finished with nickel free 14k gold plating.
Born in Bosnia and raised in Croatia, Mia studied at the School for Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb, before moving to the United States. Mia began her professional career in New York City, with corporate design roles at Liz Claiborne, Henrii Bendel and BCBGeneration. She also consulted with the legendary American jewelry artist Robert Lee Morris, and now mentors at SCAD and PRATT Institute.
“In my perfect world, every woman that recognizes a creator of any kind inside herself, would own a Oblik Atelier piece.”
