A scintillating lizard is caught in the center of this glass bowl, surrounded by oceans of blue-green glass with scores of small vanilla islands, each topped with a tiny thread of black glass.
Careful use of chemical reactions between glass colors gives each vanilla island a crisp outline, and you can see the shadow they cast on the ocean floor below.
Clear glass strips between segments demonstrate that the components are each floating, held captive by the amazing liquid that is glass.
Fused, cold worked, and slumped.
Orange, blue and green glass bowl with a flowing, organic center.
