Paying homage to the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts at the intersection of Witherspoon St. and Paul Robeson Pl., this timepiece designed with architect Michael Graves is another edition in Graves’ Witherspoon series. Michael redirected the architectural conversation away from abstract modernism toward a more humanistic approach to architecture and urban planning, that among other things, brought color and art back into the experience of architecture.
With its subtle rouge, white and blue color scheme, this watch evokes the building’s rich earth tones and surrounding town’s bold vistas. The Witherspoon Rouge is the ultimate portrayal of Graves’ passion for art and architecture.
