Vintage lace or doilies are preserved in white stoneware. The intricate patterns of these delicate crocheted pieces, often found in thrift stores, are pressed into the clay before shaped. Then, each piece is glazed and fired into a durable new form, capturing the handiwork prized by generations of women.
