It's bound with an exquisite Ecru linen stitching that allows the book to lie open completely flat, and it is complemented by top-quality stitched seams on the spine. This process of binding, known as Bodoni binding, was created by Giambattista Bodoni (1740?1813) of Parma, who rebound ancient classics for both the Duke of Parma and Napoleon.
