Tiziana Redavid is an Italian architect who uses her knowledge of industrial materials to create a stunning line of stainless-steel jewelry from reclaimed manufacturing coils. Redavid moved to Paris in 1996 to begin her career as an architect, and created her first jewelry collection later that year.
In 1987, while still a student, Tiziana visited an industrial springs factory that belonged to her father’s friend in her hometown of Turin. She noticed springs scattered on the floor, so she picked up a few dozen, put them on her wrist, and found an artistic intent. Tiziana said she was stricken by the analogy with African ornaments and even more for the aptitude of this industrial material to evolve into jewelry.
