Mary Anne employs brilliant colors and local clay from the Hudson Valley to create durable porcelain dinnerware and modern art objects. Despite its delicate appearance, porcelain is more durable than earthenware or stoneware. Her porcelain is handmade using plaster slipcasts, which lend her objects their organic shape and subtle wave-like surface. In bone white or glazed with bright colors, she says each piece reflects the light like sun on water.
Mary Anne Davis founded Davistudio Fine Porcelain in 1998. In the past 25 years her brand has grown as an established name in fine porcelain dinnerware, giftware and artware.
