Bengt Hokanson and Trefny Dix of East Hampton, New York, open their first glass studio in 1996. They began by casting glass to use as elements for their individual glass and mixed media sculpture and for custom architectural projects. More recently, they create both blown and cast glass art work.
"While much of our blown glass work is created as parts of a series, each piece has abstract pattern work, making each piece unique," Trefny said.
The Museum Store offers a collection that incorporates large color blocks and color wraps that surrounded patterned layers, all flowing across the surface of their sculptural forms.
